In June 2008, SandRidge entered into an agreement with Occidental Petroleum Corporation (OXY) to build and operate a carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction plant (Century Plant) and associated CO2 compression and pipeline facilities in Pecos and Terrell Counties, Texas. Construction has begun and the first phase of the plant is scheduled for completion in 2010.
